Fics like darling, you're the one i want

“Huh?” Maddie blinks at him, cheeks flushed, stance a little wobbly. It’s rare he sees her properly drunk—but it makes him happy to see her so loose and comfortable. “Evan?” “Eddie texted asking for a ride.” He narrows his eyes at her. “How much did you guys drink?” Maddie squints right back. “That’s none of your business.” “Uh-huh. Can I have my boyfriend back, please?” “Fine.” She twists around and calls into the house, “Eddie! You-know-who is here!” When she turns back, Buck gives her a puzzled look. Maddie just shrugs. “I’m not putting another dollar in the B-U-C-K jar. I’ve got two kids.” Eddie appears under a minute later, weaving through the hallway with a grin that could light up the whole house, the same beaming grin that lights up Buck’s whole life. His hair is a little mussed, his cheeks flushed and ruddy. The second he spots Buck, his megawatt smile somehow gets even brighter. “Baby,” He says, stumbling the last step it takes to end up by Maddie’s side. Buck catches him by his arm easily. “Hey, loverboy,” Buck bites his bottom lip, swallowing down a laugh. “C’mon, let’s get you home.” OR Flufftober day 10: Drunk Confessions
