Fics like You Were Always There For Me

“Why do you let him pick on you?” Dale glanced up, confused, “Huh?” Gadget was peering over the dismantled Ranger Wing, her face smeared with grease. Her brow was furrowed, her eyes locked on Dale, “I know Chip’s your best friend and all, but he can be a bit cruel to you. Why don’t you stand up for yourself?” *** It's always been Chip 'n' Dale, ever since they were little. They've always been linked at the hip. Whatever Chip goes, there's Dale. Chip's always been a rough chipmunk. He hits when Dale's being dumb and calls him names when he's stressed. Gadget thinks it's unfair. She doesn't understand why Dale puts up with it. She thinks he needs to give Chip a piece of his mind and stand up for himself. Dale's never thought anything of it, because Chip did something nobody else ever did. Chip expected Dale to make something of himself. He didn't believe Dale was stupid. He pushed him to be better. He stayed. And he was the only one who did.
