Fics like Wake Me Up (Caught in a Bad Dream)

“Why is that such a huge issue all of a sudden? I’m fine, okay? My sleep patterns shouldn’t require this much inspection, so you and Dale can just lay off!” A splash of hurt clouded Gadget’s face and Chip sighed once more. “Sorry, I…” He pinched the bridge of his nose. “I didn’t mean to snap at you. You didn’t deserve that. And… you’re right. I guess I haven’t been sleeping so well lately.” For the first time in years, Chip’s world felt right again. With the prospect of a Rescue Rangers reboot and a renewed friendship with Dale, things couldn’t have been better. If he could only get rid of the nightmares, life would be perfect. There are some memories you just can’t shake, however, and Chip finds himself revisiting them every night.
