He stared at Eddie, a hint of something across his face that Buck couldn’t process. “Call you later Buck, stay safe.” The call ended and Buck stayed frozen for a few minutes. Did I really just say that Buck thought to himself, staring blankly at his phone. He couldn’t decide what was worse; the fact that he slipped and said it or the fact that Eddie didn’t say it back.
