"The truth was Buck was starting to get a handle on understanding Spanish. He spent a majority of his downtime studying vocab and practicing phrases. Eddie had been spending more time with Xavier and less time with him so Duolingo had become Buck’s new best friend. It only took a few days before Buck realized Duolingo was not going to help much, which led him to plan B: soap operas and recruiting Tia Pepa to help his mission in secret. Surprisingly, or maybe not surprisingly at all, Pepa was ECSTATIC to teach Buck Spanish." oooorrrrrr ; The new 118 transfer and Eddie become close quickly, primarily speaking in Spanish together. Buck learns Spanish in secret, not telling anyone so he can eavesdrop. All is well until Buck overhears the newbie ask Eddie what his deal with Buck is and Eddie confessing, he's in love with buck but terrified of ruining their friendship.
