Fics like one step, not much

Christopher holds his hand out to Lucas, and Lucas— preoccupied with a green block this time— doesn’t move in his brother’s direction. And on Christopher’s features, something caves in a little bit. A flash of something young and vulnerable and faintly spearmint bitter in the crease of his brows behind familiar glasses. And Buck and Eddie— just kind of miss it. Just this once. Lucas takes his first steps; his big brother Christopher has some complicated feelings about it.
