Fics like Meet My Eyes and Say You See Me

Lancelot’s devotion to his king was undying and obvious in every kneeled greeting. Yet the affection hidden in every kiss to his king’s gauntlet was improper for a knight to feel towards his king. Sonic did not want to be king. He has grown close to Lancelot, whose formality remains rigid while Sonic wishes they could simply disregard titles. Sonic will do what he must for Lancelot to see himself as Sonic’s equal, even if that means he must kneel for their eyes to meet. OR Lancelot thinks his affection is improper. Sonic is just an enamored, but does not want to act on his feelings until Lancelot sees them as equals. It becomes a habit for Sonic to help remove Lancelot's armor at night
