Fics like come on, savior, save my soul

“Pathetic. Fucking pathetic. How could I ever love you? When this is what you’ve become? You think this is what I want? You?” Eddie bends over him, hands on his knees to brace himself. “It’s bullshit, Harrington. I could never love someone like you.” In a fit of desperation, or maybe just pure stupidity, Steve fists his fingers in Eddie’s shirt and yanks. Eddie hisses in surprise and topples into Steve’s lap and for one breathless, suspended moment, their mouths crush together. Eddie freezes, lips unmoving against Steve’s, and then he’s pulling himself away with a ragged gasp. He stares at Steve for a heartbeat, for two, and then– Pain. *** Or, Eddie gets Vecna’d, and Steve goes in after him. But it isn’t quite Eddie that he finds once he’s in there.
