Fics like sleep tight

She kept twisting and turning, looking for Joel. She was supposed to be on his right side so she could listen for threats. She was supposed to have a gun nearby so she could be ready if someone attacked them. She was supposed to be close to Joel so they could face any threats together. She knew she was safe in Jackson. She knew there weren’t any threats to protect Joel from. But after so long on high alert, it turned out to be almost impossible to turn her instincts off. — OR: In Jackson, Ellie has trouble sleeping. It may or may not be because she has her own room now.
