Fics like Burden of a Heart

Cid is forced to go to Oriflamme to begin peace talks with the Lesage's, something he is not even remotely happy about doing. His hosts treat him well enough, though, and he hopes that it will be a relatively simple job and he can return home as quickly as possible. That is, until a 'gift' of a dark haired boy is left in his room by the Empress, and he pieces together who is offering to share his bed, and why.
