Fics like The Fox and the Hedgehog

Sonic didn’t have any experience with infants. He tried to think. He knew he couldn’t leave him behind. But what if someone saw him? Then he and Longclaw would be in danger. Longclaw! “What would Longclaw do?” Longclaw would know what to do! After all, she took him in and raised him! And this baby needed help! With a grin, Sonic gingerly approached the crying fox cub. “Hey, buddy.” He kneeled with a friendly smile. The fox cub stopped crying, looking up at the older blue hoglet with wide eyes. “I’m Sonic.” He said as gently as he could, trying to make himself sound as unthreatening as possible. The fox uncurled himself, not taking his eyes off the hedgehog. Oh god. What was he supposed to say now? Or Sonic meets Tails early.
