Fics like There's Something I Want to Ask You

A hard knock at the garage door shocked Tails awake. “Wah?” he muttered, dazed and unsure what had woken him... ...He reached the garage door and pressed the button to open it. The motor whirled to life, and the door clanged its way up. To Tail's surprise, Shadow was on the other side, arm raised, palm-fisted, ready to bang on the door again... ...“Sonic isn’t here.”... ...“I came to speak with you.” He said simply... ...“Me? Why?” Tails asked, confused... ...Shadow took a deep breath, steadying himself, “I am here this morning to ask your permission to marry Sonic.”... __________________________ “I’m going to ask Shadow to marry me,” Sonic said suddenly from where he was lounging on their old beat-up couch. Tails choked and spat out his fourth mug of coffee, which splattered all over his workbench. “What?” he coughed, surprised. AKA: Shadow has an important question to ask Tails. Sonic tells him what he's planning to do with Shadow. All in the same day. Tails is going to need more coffee for this.
