Fics like You make me glow

Edwin’s mother had always told him that he’d know his soulmate not only by the glow, but because their mark would be on their hand between their thumb and index finger. Now that very spot was glowing with a soft blue light on his own hand. As Edwin watched, the mark glowed brighter for a moment, then dimmed, then brightened again, swimming like sunlight streaming through water. Somewhere to his left, Edwin heard a misery wraith scream. With a start, Edwin came back to himself. ---- Soulmate AU where the state of your soulmate's soul is reflected on your skin. Edwin doesn't have one by the time he dies. Charles has a dead mark. This doesn't cause problems at all. Inspired by JUBE514's beautiful art.
