Fics like “Ask me for sanctuary. I’ll protect you.”

“Ask me for sanctuary. I’ll protect you.” Hades had once offered the young son of Poseidon, many many years ago. He had thought of his late Maria di Angelo’s fate, and his two children he had been forced to abandon to the Lotus Casino for their own protection and the words had slipped out. Hades hadn’t expected the son of Poseidon to accept his offer then. Hades certainly hadn’t expected him to take him up on his offer now, over five years later. It hadn’t made any sense. Poseidon was overly protective of all of his children, especially the ones of partial mortal descent. Among them Perseus was the favorite and Poseidon didn’t miss a single opportunity to brag about him, or deliver threats should anyone allude to even looking at his son wrong.
