Fics like Pretty Girl

Mitsumi makes her chest skip and jump. When she was crushing on Shima, it always felt like she needed… something, that maybe he wasn’t. She wanted him to look at her and like her, but it was difficult to imagine him actually dating her. Holding her hand, telling her she’s pretty. Not that Shima isn’t the type of boy who calls girls pretty. He’s sweet and perceptive and quick to give a little boost if he notices someone struggling. But he’s not… the kind of boy who would (or should) call Mika pretty. It was nice because he was unattainable, in a sense. That isn’t even remotely close to how she feels about Mitsumi. She doesn’t particularly care if Mitsumi thinks she’s good enough or nice enough or pretty enough, because she already knows Mitsumi’s opinion of all of those things. It’s plenty just to see her, to laugh with her, to swing their hands back and forth when Mitsumi catches up with her on their way to school. --- Mika moves on from Shima Sousuke.
