Fics like Base Coat

“I guess so,” Makoto agrees, tugging at one of her braids. “What colour do you usually wear?” She tries to listen when Yuzuki talks—she values everything the other girl says—but it can admittedly get a little bit difficult to focus when she and Mika go off on their rambles about fashion and colour coordination. Yuzuki seems to have a natural talent for it, though, so Makoto is curious. “Hm… greens and blues, but I like a nude polish too.” Yuzuki leans over and sifts through her collection. Makoto hears the glass bottles clinking together as Yuzuki starts to place a few in front of her. Several clear polishes, but also an indigo, and then a green. Makoto immediately places the shade as Yuzuki’s eye colour, then feels her face warming at the thought. “Really, nowadays I think I’d just ask Mika for her input, she’s much better at it than me.” Huh. Makoto peers back over at Yuzuki, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. That’s in pretty direct opposition with the thought she’d just had… but then again, everyone is going to look like a bit lazy next to Mika, so maybe there’s no point in contradicting it. --- Yuzuki paints Makoto's nails. There may be some tension involved.
