Fics like Someway, somehow

Buck and Eddie haven't spoken in person for three years, Buck hasn't even heard from him in the last two and a half years, since he decided to move to Texas to go after Christopher and stopped answering texts and calls. And suddenly it's Abby all over again. Until a 16 year old Christopher shows up at the door of the yellow house - because of course that's where Buck moved to - and tells him that Eddie went missing. And Buck remains the legal guardian of his best friend's son. -- Title from the song Someway Somehow by FARR (I highly recommend listening to the song before or while reading)
