Fics like to stay in one place

The man moved the way Grayson had. His build was the same, though his hair was the wrong length. His laugh, too, as he dodged another hit. Damian ducked down when he thought the impostor might glance upward, scared that saying or doing anything would cause the man to vanish. The muggers were handled quickly, and then he was looking around and: "Robin, I know you're there!" he called out suddenly. Damian flinched. He started to shift, body tense. "I-" he started, voice strangled. An unfamiliar voice interrupted him. "Nightwing," the high child's voice scoffed. Not unfamiliar after all- A boy wearing Robin's bright red, yellow, and green landed next to Nightwing, nudging idly at one of the muggers with his foot. Damian was hallucinating. His body shook with tension, like a drawn bow, string just on the edge of snapping. No knowledge of Injustice needed for this fic!
