Fics like I Do Not Deserve The Hand That Feeds Me (And I Never Will)

“So many times Marie was told this was all for her. That she was a celebrity, an icon, a worldwide sensation, an idol. And while that was so terrifying in itself, on top of that, it apparently meant upholding her looks. Her body. If she looked different or out of place it could ruin everything” — “She wondered if the kids at her school thought the same things, if they also lay awake in their beds at night when they couldn’t sleep and thought about how this would be their entire lives. How every single day they wake up and breath is another day their stomach hurts when they’re walking home from school, and one wrong move trying to fix it leaves them called ungrateful and spoiled“ Or Maya and Marie both have complicated relationships with food. Healing is a process taken with each other.
