Fics like The Letter from Padfoot

“Remus? Moonshine? What are you—?” Remus cuts him off, practically growling. “You have no right to that name. NONE! Not after what you did.” The voice is sharp and laced with shards intended to cut deep and Sirius winces at his tone. “Moony—” “NO!” Remus lets out a devastating sob. “SHUT THE FUCK UP!” Remus didn’t read the letter. OR Sirius sent a letter to Remus before he went to confront Peter on that dreadful Halloween night but out of anger, Remus didn’t read it. 12 years later, Sirius collapses onto his front porch, blood everywhere and hopes desperately that Remus read the letter.
