During the chaos of the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, Sirius narrowly avoids being pulled into the Veil thanks to an unexpected intervention. After the fight, Sirius takes Harry home for the night, and discovers who really saved his Godfather. Back at Hogwarts, Harry settles into a truce with his Snape. The three of them try to find some peace and comfort amongst the brewing war. There isn't going to be much action in this fic (besides chapter 1). I think everyone just needs some peace.
