Fics like As My World Falls Apart

As Master King predicted, Sonic lost all of his Cyber powers after the final battle with Supreme. What he didn’t predict, though, was that a small part of his Cyber corruption would remain. The only feasible cure is, predictably, the Chaos Emeralds. All of them. With his friends off on their own adventures, Sonic must search for the Chaos Emeralds alone. In the meantime, he finds himself growing closer to Shadow, of all people. As Shadow becomes an increasingly prominent figure in his life, Sonic realizes that his feelings for his rival-turned-friend go far beyond what he once thought. He resolves to push those feelings aside until after he has all the Chaos Emeralds, but as his condition progresses, he finds himself forced to ask for Shadow's help. Working off of flimsy leads from Rouge and the Chaotix Detective Agency, Sonic and Shadow are caught in a race against time. Will they be able to find all the Chaos Emeralds before Sonic's corruption passes the point of no return?
