Fics like Really wish you were here with me but at least I got you

“The food on the ARK is okay, but I really miss the cooking on Earth. Before I got sick, I went with my family to Spagonia. The food there was amazing! Have you found a favourite food? All I’ve ever seen you have is coffee.” - Maria Robotnik to Shadow, Sonic X Shadow Generations During quieter times, Shadow makes plans to visit Spagonia, wishing to experience the cooking Maria swore by when he met her in White Space in an attempt to get to know her life on Earth better. (Un-)Fortunately, Sonic has the time show him around the place, which turns out to be a bigger help than Shadow would've ever thought. Now if only that didn't also make it harder for the hybrid to keep up his prickly walls that he's set up ever since that one fateful encounter with Sonic on the lily field... Perhaps Sonic has been right all along and he should be more honest with himself. As Shadow struggles, he quickly discovers that Sonic is hiding some secrets of his own. --- [Note: reading the previous one-shot in this series is recommended but not absolutely necessary.]
