Fics like Their First Promises

"Stop following me!" Every relationship has to start somewhere. For Link and Zelda in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the true beginning for them is the events in the Gerudo Desert. And so this work centers around the events of memories 6 and 7 (Urbosa's Hand, Blades of the Yiga) and dramatizes those events. If these two had a terrible argument before being in love, why would it happen? What would that look like and how would it be resolved? What circumstances would cause a severe misunderstanding between a troubled princess and her seemingly "perfect" knight? What does it take to get beyond a fight and the hurt that goes with it, and to move forward? How can it be that forgiveness heals both the giver and the receiver? Here I try to explore questions like those a bit. "Angst with a happy ending" definitely applies here. Guest starring the champion Urbosa as the surrogate mom who also shocks people. It's never as bad as it seems.
