Tommy pressed back uselessly against the side of the labyrinth, eyes squeezing shut, hoping, praying it wouldn’t notice him. The snuffling stopped and a low growl sounded out that made the stones beneath his shoes shake. And Tommy opened his eyes a crack. And he saw it. It was huge. It’s horns curled up towards the roof of the labyrinth, red eyes gleamed down at him. It’s breath was coming out in huge snorts, and even from here Tommy could see it’s tusks curling from its lip. And it was staring straight at him. The minotaur. Or Theseus was always told he was going to be the one to slay the minotaur. Too bad the minotaur disagrees
