Fics like me and my two hands (they never soothed your fevers)

Ellie’s brow scrunches a little but she doesn’t wake, and Joel tugs the covers down a little further. Her shirt and the flannel she’s swiped from him and wrapped herself in are both soaked in sweat. “Ellie?” The hand he touches to her forehead comes away clammy and damp, and he wipes it on the topmost blanket. She shivers, and Joel's anxiety ratchets a little higher at the lack of response. “Baby girl, can you hear me?” (whumptober - ellie gets sick)
