“How old are you?” Technoblade asked. “Fifteen,” the boy said, jutting out his sharp little chin as if to compensate for the whole head of height he lacked next to the second shortest boy in the row. Technoblade felt a headache prickling at his temples. “I will ask that again. Think of your answer carefully this time. How old are you?” The boy looked up. He had eyes the color of sky before dawnbreak, and fire in them that burned more fiercely than a star newly born. “I'm fifteen, sir,” he repeated without a shade of doubt. “Old enough for war.” *** When Commander Technoblade is given a soldier to train who is clearly much too young, he makes everything in his power to make him leave. Unfortunately for him, Tommy is stubborn. Phil has an amusing time watching Technoblade trying not to get attached to the kid (and failing miserably). Somehow it turns into a story of learning to live and letting go.
