Fics like switchblade 'round my neck (don't get close to me)

Lyney’s betrayal was familiar. Comfortable, even. It aligned with the ideas Aether had built along his travels. Watch your back, fight to survive, and do not trust the Fatui. People had betrayed Aether more times than the man could count, and he had long grown numb to the sensation of it. He knew not to get attached to people, to keep his guard up, because they would take advantage of him the second he relaxed. If Lyney was a bad person, then Aether would feel no guilt about turning his back on the magician and leaving him behind. But Aether knew the truth. (or; Aether reflects on his time in Teyvat and his relationship with Lyney)
