Fics like Eye for an Eye

Placed in a new foster home two months before he turns eighteen, Goro Akechi tries to prepare for the inevitable moment when he will be left to the mercy of the society that has punished him ever since he was born to the wrong person under the wrong circumstances. But when he is granted access to another world on the first day of his new school - a world of monsters and demons, of cognition and real-life consequences - he knows that he has finally been given a chance to change his situation, and maybe track down the nameless absent father who left him and his mother to die. And finally punish him and everyone else who made his life a living hell. (A Role Swap AU, where Akechi is both leader of the Phantom Thieves and murderous vigilante.)
