Fics like If We Work and We Save, We Could Both Runaway and We’d Have a Better Life (And I Was Right)

In the middle of the night, four sixteen-year-old boys tucked their instruments safely into the back of the rundown van (the one they’d started saving for when they were fourteen.) They toss in some clothes too, mostly for padding (those drums were expensive, dude!), and a few cans of soup and other various dry goods pilfered from their various houses, and hit the road. If you bothered to ask, they’d probably tell you they’re just chasing their dreams. But the truth is they’re running away. or Luke, Alex, Reggie, and Bobby leave home when they’re sixteen. It’s a solid plan until it isn’t. When things go wrong, they discover that maybe they’re in a little over their heads. But then they meet Ray Molina and his family and discover that maybe it wouldn’t be the worst idea to trust someone other than each other.
