Fics like you dream of some epiphany

When Reggie cries, his entire body shakes with the force of it, but he is utterly silent. It hurts to watch. With every shudder, he seems to get further and further away, drawing into a place they can’t follow... and no matter how tightly his friends hold him, or coo comfort into his ears, he can’t be reeled back in. The storm of his emotions buffers him away on a high tide, pulling him out to sea… and the harder his tears come, the harsher his breathing gets, the more his friends’ worry grows. No one is used to it... not from Reggie. Reggie, who always seems fine until he isn’t… Reggie, whose quick smile keeps anyone from seeing the depths these tears are coming from. Where did he learn to cry like this — pouring out his soul without even a whimper? So, he tries his best not to cry at all. ( five times reggie wasn't allowed to cry + one time he just couldn't help it )
