Fics like Ocean Spray and Hibiscus

There is an 18 year old man, boy, really, child, who steps through a portal and finds himself somewhere that doesn’t exist. He is dreaming, and he is certain of that fact, because everyone he sees is dead, except for the people he hasn’t spoken to in years and the ones who have never met each other. He pulls out an amulet, pours a little magic into it, and wakes up. This is the story of why he has an amulet to wake himself up.
