Fics like baby's first blackout

When she takes the first cup of warm cider at the harvest party from a boy a year ahead of her at school named Daniel, she wrinkles her nose a bit at the first sip. It has a sort of burn to it, and she rubs her tongue against the roof of her mouth, feeling it out. She takes a second sip, trying to determine what it is, but against sweet apple and spices, it’s hard to pick it out. “What’s in this?” She asks him, as he hands two other kids cups of the same stuff. “That’s some special juice,” he says with a wink. The emphasis is clearly supposed to mean something to her, but she can’t fathom what it might be beyond the simple fact that it’s hot apple juice with stuff in it. She thinks she heard someone call in nulled, but that doesn’t mean anything to her, and Joel isn’t here to explain it. (ellie accidentally gets white girl wasted at a harvest festival) (joel gets a little more white haired worried in response)
