Fics like Hemeralopia

Sonic had spent such a long time running. Across countless worlds - some living, some apocalyptic, some dead and everything inbetween. And he had never once stopped running at any point. To stop was to die. Or worse, given what was following him. The only thing standing between him and it was his ability to cross into new realities, an unwitting byproduct of his encounter. He had no idea what it was or what it wanted. Only that it had torn his original world apart and now, it had trapped him in this twisted "game" as it chased him across various realities. An evershifting horror, madness incarnate, and it had set his sights on him. So he would run. No matter how many worlds he had to journey across, he would run until he couldn't anymore. And in doing so, meet many faces both familiar and unfamiliar in his neverending journey to escape from this endless horror.
