Fics like Second Chance

Steve has amnesia after a "house fire" when he was ten. All he knows is what his parents have told him. He doesn't realize that the kids don't know about it, and has some explaining to do. About a month later, they're doing some digging and Steve discovers that he's been lied to--he was actually one of the numbers, discarded with a wiped memory after the experiment failed. Obviously he freaks out. They go through the process of getting his powers back, and learn why his experiment was deemed a "failure" in the first place.
