Update: Now complete! She remembered the first day he came into her flower shop—the handsome man with sad eyes who had an affection for dahlias. And how she noticed that as his eyes zeroed in on what he was there for, for the briefest of moments, the sadness in his eyes was replaced with a glimmer of happiness. His small, ephemeral smile as he focused on the bouquet in his hands tugged on her heartstrings. It was clear to her that he held an emotional attachment to those particular flowers.
