Fics like To Die

!SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 1X07 OF THE SHOW! A rewrite of the ending of 1x07 dipping into Moiraine and Lan's heads and examining the specifics of what happened on and off-screen. Moiraine knew that whoever went to the Eye of the World would die there, so she engineered it to ensure that she would be alone when that happened, without her Warder, for the first time in all their years together. Continuation into imagining what might happen next. 'That was the thing they had not been told of, in the White Tower. When they had been taught the weaves of Spirit necessary to craft a Warder’s bond, it had been shared as though they were simply creating a tool. A man sworn to protect, and serve, and die for you was a wonderful asset to have in the world. They did not speak of the reality. They did not speak of the deeper bond that they had built over twenty years. They did not speak of the love unlike anything she had ever known that she now shared with her Warder.'
