Fics like Gratia

!SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 4 OF THE SHOW! After what happened in the cavern, and the way the Aes Sedai camp starts acting around her, Nynaeve retreats for some much needed solitude. Moiraine interrupts, but the two manage to find an unexpected common ground, and share some open honest conversation about what happened. '“I came here to thank you,” she said, once Nynaeve had looked up at her, holding her eyes. It was said that Aes Sedai were incapable of lying. That didn’t stop Nynaeve narrowing her eyes at her and trying to read deceit. She didn’t, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t there. Grudgingly, Nynaeve had to admit that, to her credit, Moiraine bore the heat of her glower well. She had known it send grown men running at the mere thought of it. But the Aes Sedai just stood there. Calm as ever. It was infuriating. “What for?” Nynaeve ground out finally, when it became clear that Moiraine would neither speak further, nor leave, until she responded. “You can’t guess?” she returned mildly.'
