Fics like A Measure of Kindness

Tommy's fallen into the trap of caring for someone who probably only thinks of him as livestock, but he can't seem to let go. After all, he's never met anyone else who was so good at pretending to like him. Wilbur just wants to be friends with the small, possibly homeless human child who cuddles with him every Sunday and won't accept money for anything but his blood. As he bitterly puts it, he 'doesn't want any pity.' Wilbur can't help but feel attached. - Eventually Techno and Phil also get drawn in, appropriately charmed by the prickly, outspoken Tommy. Suddenly he has not 1 but 3 eccentric vampire guardians and everything is right with the world.
