Fics like You Want To Carry On

He had less than a year until he was pulling himself out of the system. He knows it's an awful plan, dangerous at best and a death sentence at worse, but he can't stand to bounce from house to house with promises that "this will be the one". His caseworker has said that about every single house he's been fostered in, all 17 of them, so he doesn't let the words build even the smallest bit of hope as they pull up in front of the cozy-looking house sat on the coast of Newhaven. Legally, he can become independent at 16. Currently, he's 15. The Watson house only has to deal with him for a few months before he's gone. He just has to hold out those months until he's free. Would that really make him free? or Tommy Doe, ward of the state and resident "problem foster kid", plans on becoming emancipated at 16. Phil, Wilbur, and Technoblade might change that plan.
