Fics like May There Always Be Sunshine

Alina Starkov thought she was destined for a quiet life in Keramzin until a group of Fjerdan raiders take her captive. After discovering her power to summon light during an escape attempt, she's taken to the Second Army and their General. Suddenly thrust into the world of the Grisha as the long-awaited Sun Summoner, Alina must come to terms with her new power and the lasting effects of her captivity, all while protecting her daughter from the dangers of their new life. Things are made more complicated by the new relationships she forms among the Grisha, especially their mysterious leader. Alina will have to make choices along the way and decide what's more important: her own family or the greater good.
