Fics like The Scent of an Alpha

Everything in her appearance exudes neglect – which only makes Alina flinch and look away. A few weeks ago, she’d thought she’d never look this way again. Aleksander had her convinced. If she closes her eyes, she can still sense his smell, the scent that screamed all yours, a promise he’d whispered to her the night of the Winter Fete before things had gone so horribly, horribly wrong. Staring at her with a breathless wonder, his scent like that of warm weather, an aromatic uplift of juniper berries, and something spicy too, rounded out with sandalwood and musk. Alpha. A perfect refreshing scent that used to make her mouth water, her legs weak with slick. She can still recall her own faint gasp when he swept her up in his arms, put her on that war table like she barely weighed a thing, the rumble of his voice against her chest – my Sun Summoner, my Omega. Except it had all been a lie. And she can feel it coming, her first heat. And there’s not a thing she can do to stop it.
