Fics like Jar Of Hearts

"All that rage, all that anger, your failures, your fights, your loves and losses and deaths and all that stupid bullshit you people hate and yet can't seem to go five minutes without talking and ranting and complaining about- throw it all away. It's not important right now. What's important is this, just one little question: Do you like hurting people, or can you just not bring yourself to care anymore?" -or- Ten years after the Metarex Incident, Miles is still haunted by Cosmo's death. After an encounter with Dr. Eggman goes horribly wrong (or horribly right?) he is left with a damaged Bokkun- and an opportunity that could lead to Cosmo's return. All he'll need to test his hypothesis? The seven Chaos Emeralds. It would be simple enough, if all but one of them hadn't been scattered off into the universe after the final battle against Dark Oak. And so, Miles and company depart into space on an epic quest to find the Chaos Emeralds, in a fun, family friendly adventure where they'll save the day like always- -or perhaps that's how the story would go, if Miles were a better person. What instead follows is the journey of an angry, broken man, and someone who wants to kill him.
