Eddie huffs, his throat uncharacteristically dry as he rasps, "My parents called. They booked a flight. Wanted to come see Chris for Thanksgiving, and they figured I wouldn't have plans since they're coming three days early. Tonight." Then, he turns his gaze downward, voice dropping. "I uh— I told them we were having dinner here and they kind of… invited themselves." Buck blinks, looking awfully like someone in the midst of being choked, his tongue sitting dumbly in his gaping mouth. "And uh— your crisis?" Eddie prompts gently, shaking Buck slightly out of his stupor. Buck gulps, the panic in his eyes morphing to thinly-veiled horror. "My parents," he says, and Eddie's stomach free falls, a swirl of dark dread clawing its way up his gut. "They just called to tell me they're coming to dinner. Tonight." Or; What do you do when your parents, your best friend's parents, and the social worker in charge of your best friend's foster kid's case all show up at your door on the same day? Eddie's about to figure out, and fast.
