Iolanthe Lily Potter no longer shows signs of magic, and her younger twin, Henry James Potter, has become the most famous baby in Wizarding Britain overnight. Her parents, James and Lily Potter, send her away to protect Henry from her potential jealousy over his magic and fame, but they don't think about protecting her at all. She spends ten long years in the hostile house of Vernon and Petunia Dursley before she re-enters Wizarding Britain on her eleventh birthday. James and Lily tell everyone that their eldest child is dead. Before long, Henry's spotlight shines so bright that almost everyone forgets he had a twin. When his younger brother, Ralston Fleamont Potter, is born, Henry doesn't like sharing that spotlight. Ralston soon fades into the background, spending more time with his godparents, Remus Lupin and Amelia Bones. Remus' husband, Sirius Black, doesn't forget his older godchild. James and Lily never speak about her, and he thinks it's because her memory is painful for them. He learns the truth when he receives a letter from Iolanthe the day after her eleventh birthday. His anger at his best friend is second only to his worry for his young goddaughter who seems too much like himself for his liking.
