Fics like Are You a Friend of Dorthy?

Peter liked being around the Avengers. He knows they weren’t all back on the best terms quite yet, but he thinks he’s doing a great job at mending their relationship with one another. He still wasn’t sully sure what the fighting had been about, only that it had really broken up Mr. Stark and at least part of it was about that Bucky guy. Spending much of his childhood watching shows like My Little Pony and such, he’d always sort of had that whole power of friendship thing drilled into him from a young age. So, naturally, the best way he found to combat their bad attitudes toward each other was to befriend the winter soldier and show his mentor that there was nothing to worry about anymore now that he’d snapped out of the Russian brainwashing thing (at least that’s what he’s gathered it was, nobody was really telling him anything). Or, Peter is trying to make the Avengers all be friends again and notices specific tensions between Tony and Bucky. When he finds out Bucky is gay after the man makes a comment to Steve about being "A friend of Dorthy," his mind jumps to the worst conclusion and now he's worried that his mentor is a homophobe.
