Fics like Fever Dream

Penny gets sick and stubbornly insists she’s fine. Spoiler alert: she’s not. OR, I wrote this to cope with Endgame. Cmon Steve Peggy might’ve needed you but Bucky needed u more 😭 (Mind the tags) ————— Penny knew something was wrong the minute she opened her eyes. The sharp light pained her eyes, and she could already feel a headache coming on. She felt exhausted, and her eyes just wouldn’t stay open. Her face was burning up, she could feel it, but her body was freezing. When she swallowed, it felt like she was forcing thorns down her throat. She could scarcely breathe, and she kept sneezing repeatedly. When she coughed, she could feel it deep in her throat. Congestion. Her body felt achy. All that to say that Penny most definitely wasn’t sick.
