Fics like Choice of the Matter

Gifted by the fae with obedience as a bairn, Jaskier has always had to do as he's told. This has led him to cut ties with friends, give his music away to his nemesis, spy for the kingdom of Redania, and of course, flee many a village of both wanted and unwanted trysts. In Posada, Jaskier makes a choice for himself to follow a witcher who may possibly be the key to ending his curse once and for all...but even if not, perhaps Jaskier can still find his happily ever after? This is a fic that is less about the quest of tracking down and vanquishing ones monsters so much as it is about learning to live with them, grow in spite of and to spite them, and maybe bloom wherever one ends up. A note on rape/non-con: Jaskier literally has a "can't really consent to this" curse. This is something people knowingly and unknowingly use and ranges from explicitly non-con to dubious even if still seen as consensual by both parties until the curse is broken.
