Fics like Raincoats and other love languages

It wasn’t just the colour that made it his favourite. Finding good clothes back on Earth was a constant battle of practicality against his nervous system, and that coat had perfectly walked the line between being sturdy enough to hold up against a downpour, big enough to wear a sweater underneath, and comfy enough that he didn’t want to crawl out of his skin every time he wore it. Even the rubbery texture ended up being weirdly comforting, a weight against the back of his neck and over his shoulders. That same texture had felt a lot less comforting as the lapels dragged across his face, his arms making a squeaking noise against each other when they were roughly pulled back as someone crushed him into the ground. --- Grace and Rocky learn to open up while watching a series of rocket launches, and Grace gets a new raincoat.
