Fics like Jacob & Esau

Eddie cleared his throat, his expression shifting. "Are you familiar with the story of Jacob and Esau?" “I’m vaguely familiar.” Eddie set his glass down with a sharp clink, he grabbed a cigar from the humidor on his desk, trimmed the end with careful precision, and flicked open his lighter and lit the cigar, “Esau willingly traded his birthright to Jacob, but when it came to receive it, Esau claimed he was betrayed by Jacob and vowed to kill him. Esau would forgive Jacob if he wrestled with an angel of the lord. Freddy surrendered his future the moment he chose an addiction over his bloodline. I didn't steal his inheritance; he forfeited it. I may have wrestled with an ‘angel of the lord’, if you consider a God-fearing murderous drug dealer an angel. I am not Jacob and Freddy is not Esau, I do not care for his forgiveness nor will I ever forgive him for what he has done to us.” He leaned back in his chair with his palm resting on the desk and looked at Susie, the ache of betrayal danced across his face.
